A Very Special Shout Out

It isn’t often that you see someone else hit a milestone in their lives that tells you they are on the right track and doing well.  Today is one of those really great days where everything is just coming together for my comedy partner Robin Crossman, and deserves a special shout out.

Many of you have been checking out Robin’s almost daily comic Ned and Larry. I am very excited because as of today Robin is a syndicated cartoonist. Ned and Larry have been picked up for syndication by Fluster Magazine, which has a global audience. The fishes did an interview with Fluster for their first day. To see it, go here.

Robin had a great set at Absolute Comedy last night, as he always does. In addition, there were some commonalities between him and the headliner John Fisch, who recently did a Letterman spot. If a big bald funny dude can get on Letterman doing mostly clean material than so can Robin, provided Letterman doesn’t die before that, which, let’s face it, is a strong possibility. Craig Ferguson maybe? No, he’ll probably die too. Better go with Conan or Jimmy Fallon. Let’s hope they aren’t heavy drug users :/  Ellen DeGeneres has a nice talk show and doesn’t seem like a druggy, maybe he should aim to be on her show.

Robin has also been updating the website and building a distinct look for our new Comedy Cabaret Uptown show, which will start Monday, February 20, 2012 at Kramer’s Bar and Grill at Yonge and Davisville.  As always, he is a great comedy partner.

And, of course, Robin knows and spends a lot of his time with me, Chris MacLean! What could be more spectacular? ;)

Much love and celebration for a very talented and sweet guy, who may be the next Charles M. Schultz, and will maybe someday get his very own talk show…once Letterman dies. And maybe then I’ll get booked too :D
