Downsize Games and Comedy Uncovered: Live!
I’m going to be a part of a really exciting live comedy show and short film premiere next Friday! And you should come!
This will be the premiere of Downsize Games, which is the short film I’ve mentioned a couple of times, which is a bit of Hunger Games meets The Office. Plus there will be live comedy, sketch and music by some amazingly talented funny people and musicians.
Dare I say it, this is going to be the super coolest place you could possibly be next Friday. The comedy acts are amazing! And the film, Downsize Games, is going to be terrific! The show is sponsored by Comedy Uncovered, which is a local indie comedy magazine.
I am so impressed by the production of this film, and those who know me know that I don’t use the word “impressed” very often.
Plus the other comics and actors who are booked for this show are AMAZING! Check out their bios on Comedy Uncovered
Whether you’re a film fan, or a comedy fan, this show will be for you! You’ll not only get to see the film, which I think will be awesome, but get to meet the stars and interact!
Plus the show is at The Lot, which is a cool new place for comedy that all the people in the know are talking about lately and is located at 100 Ossington Avenue near Queen, Toronto.
Tickets for the show are a very reasonable at $10 and you can order them online or get them at the door, but something tells me this show will be sold out so order early!
See you for the premiere of Downsize Games on Friday, November 9th, 10pm at The Lot!
New Word: Unnovation
I came up with a new word by typo yesterday, and I like it! I’m currently working on the best definition:
Unnovation (noun)
- A technique that is presented as new, but in actuality has been done before, especially applicable to practices, techniques and technology that have been long established.
use:
“My company says it’s being innovative by bringing in a new technology, but the technology to do that has existed for more than ten years. The change is an unnovation.”
Unnovative (adjective)
- Used to describe a person, company, etc., that will only use processes, technology or techniques that have been done before.
uses:
“My boss will only do something that’s been done before and won’t try to create anything new. She’s very unnovative.”
Unnovate (verb)
- To consciously create something that has been done before.
Use:
“I’m going to unnovate that essay by plagiarizing from something I find off the internet.”
Antonyms: innovate
***
I love this word! I can think of so many applications in the workplace!
